In-Person 25 - Written Exam Prep Course 2025

This is our written exam prep course for 2026 exam candidates. It is for trainees wishing to attend in-person at the University of Melbourne. It will be held from 24th November - 5th December, 2025

This course is built-on 20+ years of experience and feedback running these courses. Feedback from last year's course was very positive, rating the course 4.46 out of 5. We will be building on this feedback, with our speakers, to further enhance the course this year.

The course contains the following features:

Teaching Sessions – Comprehensive lectures by experienced speakers covering important topics with a focus on evidence-based medicine, current hot topics, and revision of generally poorly understood areas. There will be a Q&A opportunity at the end of lectures. The lectures are revised each year to reflect important, possibly examinable topics. Teaching sessions are between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday over each week of the course period, except for the final Friday (5th Dec) when teaching sessions will end by 12:30pm. The final afternoon is reserved for the trial exam (see below). There are no course sessions over the middle weekend.

Comprehensive Course Notes – Downloadable notes in PDF format will be made available to all participants two-weeks before the course start-date. 

Please note that we no longer provide the option of printed course notes. The vast majority of attendees use electronic notes and the demand for printed notes is extremely low. The PDFs you will be provided with are formatted to easily enable you to have them printed, if you wish. Last year's attendees found this to be a lower cost option than we were, otherwise, able to provide.

Trial Exam - This is online and available for you to try from 5th - 9th December. You may sit the exam on the final afternoon of the course (5th Dec) or, if you wish to travel home you may take it at any time until 11:59pm on 9th Dec.  As soon as possible after the exam closes, an exam analysis will be emailed to you, showing the spread of all scores and the pass mark. You will also be able to compare your result with all those trainees taking the course both in-person and online

Practice MCQs – a set of online practice MCQs, to enhance learning during the course.

Access to the online course after the in-person course concludes. Access will be available until the February 2026 exam, so you will be able to view any of the lectures again. Please see the online course description for details of this course.

Light Refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks. There is a variety of cafes, to suit differing tastes, close to the course venue for lunch.

The fee for the course is $3,150. You may reserve a place by paying a deposit of $1,575. The balance of the fee of $1,575 is due by 1st August. A reminder will be sent in July. After this date, registrations can be made by paying the full fee, if places are still available.

There is a cancellation fee of $65 to withdraw from the course prior to 31^st July. After this date, cancellations will not receive a refund.

All registrations must be made online using any of the major credit and debit cards. Payments are secure and processed by Stripe. Please click on the 'Register' button to start your registration. You will register as a user of our website first and, once this has been done, you can register and pay for the course.  Once you have registered and paid, you will receive a receipt automatically.  We will confirm all registrations in a further email, within 2 business days.  It is useful to have our main email address (as per your receipt) in your address book or white list to ensure you receive our emails.
