In-Person 24 - Written Exam Prep Course 2024
This is our written exam prep course for those wishing to attend in-person at the University of Melbourne. It will be held from November 25th - December 6th, 2024 (Monday – Friday over each of the two weeks. There are no teaching sessions over the middle weekend).
This course is built-on 20+ years of experience in running these courses and contains the following features:
Teaching Sessions – Comprehensive lectures by experienced speakers covering important topics; with a focus on evidence-based medicine, current hot topics, and revision of generally poorly understood areas. There will be a Q&A opportunity at the end of lectures. The lectures are revised each year to reflect important, possibly examinable topics.
Comprehensive Course Notes – Downloadable notes in PDF format will be made available two-weeks before the course start-date to all participants. If you also wish to have printed notes at the course, these can be made available for an additional fee. If you opt for printed notes, they will be provided to you on the first day of the course. Will will contact you in early October to ask if you wish to have printed notes. Printed notes will not be an option for registrations made after 15th October 2024.
Trial Exam - This is online and available for you to try from 6th - 9th December. Shortly after that date, an exam analysis will be provided, showing the spread of all scores and the pass mark. You will also be able to compare your result with all those trainees taking the online course.
Practice MCQs – a set of practice MCQs, to enhance learning during the course
Access to the online course after the in-person course concludes. Access will be available until the February 2025 exam, to aid further revision. Please see the online course description for details of this course.
Light Refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks. There is a variety of cafes close to the course venue for lunch.
The fee for the course is $2,950. You may reserve a place by paying a deposit of $1,100. The balance of the fee of $1,850 is due by 1st August. A reminder will be sent in July. After this date, registrations can be made by paying the full fee.
This course will be held at the University of Melbourne. Further venue details will be available later in the year and will be found in the 'Venue Information' section.
There is a cancellation fee of $55 to withdraw from the course prior to 31st July. After this date, cancellations will not receive a refund.
All registrations must be made online using any of the major credit and debit cards. Payments are secure and processed by Stripe. Please click on the 'Register' button to start your registration. You will register as a user of our website first and, once this has been done, you can register and pay for the course. If you have already created an account for our website, please login with your email address and password. Once you have registered and paid, you will receive a receipt automatically. Please ensure you do not press the 'proceed' button more than once when paying for the course as this may result in more than one payment. There may be a delay in processing your payment and you should wait for confirmation which may take up to a minute. We will confirm all registrations in a further email, within 2 business days.
